The Flirty Aprons Cookbook

We are currently working on getting delicious, taste-tested recipes from anyone and everyone. If you have a recipe you'd like to submit please email it to us at mail@flirtyaprons.com. We're hoping to get enough great recipes to have the cookbook out in 2010. We'll keep a list on our blog of all of the recipe submissions so far -- see the list below.

Chicken Dip with a Kick

16 oz cream cheese
1/2 cup of minced celery (optional)
8 oz red hot sauce (more/less depending on your taste)
2 cups shredded cooked chicken
1 cupe shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup Bleu Cheese Dresssing (or whatever you like)

Cook chicken until done, cut up into little pieces.

Microwave cream cheese and red hot for 3 minutes, stir occastionally OR put in a pan on stove and melt that way.

Mix all ingredients listed above together and pour into baking pan.

Spinkle top with more cheese and bake at 400 for 20 minutes or until cheese is melted and warm.

Serve with scoopable chips.

Pumpkin Roll

Ingredients
3 eggs
1 cup sugar
2/3 cup pumpkin
1 tsp lemon juice
¾ cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ginger
½ tsp nutmeg
½ tsp salt
Confectionery sugar

Beat 3 eggs for 5 minutes on high speed.
Add ingredients (minus confectionery sugar), Mix it very well.
Pour into a greased and floured pan. Size: 15 in X 10 1/4 in X 3/4 in.
Bake at 375 for about 15 minutes or until done.
Cool and place on a towel covered with confectionery sugar.
Roll the towel and the cake up like a jelly roll
Let it cool for 2 hours in fridge


Filling
8 oz cream cheese
4 tbs butter
1 cup confectionery sugar
1 tsp vanilla

Beat all ingredients together, then carefully unroll the pumpkin cake, remove the towel and spread filling onto the cake

Once you are done, roll the cake back up. Wrap it up with foil. Keep it chilled or out to eat

Chicken Parmesan

Skinless Boneless Chicken Breast (as much as you need to feed everyone)
Brick of Mozz. Cheese
Bread Crumbs
Flour
Egg wash
Olive Oil
One jar of Spaghetti Sauce

Get three bowls out and put flour in one, egg wash in one, and bread crumbs in the last bowl.
Dip the chicken in the flour, then the egg, and then the bread crumbs.
Put a little olive oil in a skillet, med.-high heat, brown on both sides until golden.
Put the chicken in a baking dish. Put cheese slices on chicken, add spaghetti sauce, top with cheese. Repeat until all chicken is done. Bake at 350 F for about 25-30 minutes until chicken is done.

Serve with Spaghetti, Garlic bread and a salad.

Here is a recipe I use all the time on my family. It's quick and easy!
1 lb ground beef fried and drained
4-5 cups of your choice of pasta cooked, drained

mix together together until smooth
1 TBSP of ranch dressing mix
1 16oz container of reduced fat sour cream
1/4 cup milk
3 tsp of beef bouillon (3 cubes smashed)
1/2 clove garlic
1/8 tsp black pepper

Stir beef, noodles and cream mixture together and serve.

My computer shut down and I am not sure if I posted this or not. So sorry if this is a duplicate. My family loves this recipe.

Quick and easy stroganoff

1 lb. ground beef fried in a large pan and drained
4-5 cups of cooked noodles of your choice

stir together this creamy mixture:
1 16oz tub low fat sour cream
1 Tbsp hidden valley ranch dry mix
1/4 cup milk
3 tsp beef bouillon or 3 cubes
1 Tbsp French onion soup mix
1/4 tsp garlic, minced
1/8 tsp black pepper

Gently stir noodles, ground beef and creamy mixture together in large ground beef pan over low heat till thick.
